Great Photo Improvements for Members
We've made some subtle but effective changes to the main pages of the website. The changes should enhance the search engine optimisation of the site and its contents, with the added bonus for our members that more people on the internet will be able to find their pictures and descriptions and therefore, help the search for the answer want by those who post their photos on the "Who are you Where are you" website.
On the photo detail pages we move the photo info to the top of page and made sure that the name of the picture is the main heading for the page. The Album description is now below all the information gathered for the photo, and just above the rest of the thumbnail images for the album.
Also now photo detail page URLs include the title of the featured photo and no silly dynamic page question marks and things that search engines don't like. And don't worry about the old page URLs, the system automatically converts them to the new format and informs the search engines of the changes.
On the home page we've made things less biased towards new content and the site now displays a random selection from the database of photos load by our members.
Faster hosting now ensures the site loads quicker and gets those all important photos in front of our growing community of responders rapidly to allow them to add responses.
We've also placed the registration form on the login page so any one clicking "Add a Response" to members photos can join the Free membership easily and get involved without having to find the membership registration form.
So all in all some significant updates to the site that will help the community grow and get more answers for our members photos and questions.
