Fred writes to Miss B Johnson. London 1904.
The photo post card is of the General Post Office London circa 1904.
On October 17th Fred writes to Miss B Johnson c/o Rev.d T Gough, The Grammar School, Retford, Notts. He gives his address as Malden & Co,195 Brompton Road, London and says "Just a line to say I am in the land of the living - and comfortably settled here. Do you intend visiting town as you suggested? Let me know and I shall be pleased to do my best to make your visit an enjoyable one. With love Fred."
On the front of the card he says " Could you come next Saturday week for weekend? We could go to the Tempest together in the evening -see. It's magnificent"
Is Miss Johnson Fred's intended? Maybe his sister?
From Bessie Dayne's postcard album just one little moment in time about two young people we'll never know more about except that they went to to a London theatre one Saturday in November 1904, to see the Tempest.
