Harveys and ChampionJones's early 1930's England
Photo circa late 1920's early 1930's.
The Harvey siblings and Champion-Jones's and picnic hamper in the English countryside.
Frederick Charles Harvey is 1st left with pipe...next is Florence Champion-Jones ( nee Harvey) his sister. Next to Florence stretched out with his hands behind his head and pipe in mouth Stuart Champion-Jones, husband.
I believe the man next to Stuart is his brother (name not known) and next to him is Maud Harvey spinster. Far right is Courtenay Harvey the youngest of the six Harvey siblings.
The Harvey siblings appear to have been a very close group. This photo taken when Stuart and Florence visit England as they lived their lives in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and probably died there.
I havn't found any reference to the Champion-Jones's in UK death records so far.
The two Harvey siblings not present in this photo are Marie Louisa Jones ( nee Harvey) and Mabel Aster (nee Harvey)
I wonder who took the photo!

The mystery, history and Archive of the Harveys of Bristol, a wealthy Victorian family 1866 to 1937.
The mystery is how this original personal family archive belonging to Florence Harvey came to be found in my deceased mother's house in Essex ten years ago.
Florence was living in Sri Lanka in the 1930's so how did it arrive in England and why did my mother have it?
My great aunt may have brought it back to England but why was it not returned to the Harvey family?
Does this Victorian family not have descendents to whom it could have been returned?
Why do the documents, archives and photos cease about 1937 when Florence Harvey's mother died?
The Harvey family have no connection to my own family.
It is our intention to return the Harvey family archive to Florence's descendents if they can be found.
Read their story on my eBay blog jeannchris and see their images here through time from 1866 to 1937.
