Large street in a Hampshire Town
This picture shows an old scene in a Hampshire town. My guess it that this is an important street in the town going by the width of it.
Also, I think it's probably near the sea going by the name of the name of the build on the left the "Dolphin" which I think is a hotel.
If any one can identity it I would be really interested to know its location.

This, as with the other photos in this Album are of Petersfield, Hampshire, circa 1905.
The street shown here is the High Street. So not by the sea at all, in fact about 16 to 18 miles north of the south coast of England.

Definitely the High Street, Petersfield. Sadly, the Dolphin Hotel was demolished in the sixties, to be be replaced with the much uglier "Dolphin Court" development of shops and flats, now home to the local Marks and Sparks.
The lack of a war memorial, whcih should be in the forefront of the picture in the middle of the road, also dates the image as pre WW1.
