Mrs Ayling and Bubbles.cmid 1890's. Croydon,Surre
Again by Proctor & Co. still of 12, Station Road, West Croydon. This cabinet card shows Mrs Ayling and her daughter Bubbles. We know this because it's written on the back. They lived at 71 Chinshill Road ( I think) in South Croydon.
In better condition than the two below, Mrs Ayling has the same features as granny Gardiner, was she granny Gardiners daughter?
She wears a fine beaded collar dress and a rope of Jet beads. She wears a brooch at her high collar and a very ornate hat. The little girl Bubbles, a very pretty child, is dressed in ribbons and ruffles and a straw hat with ribbons and feathers.
I think this photo is of the same woman below but a few years later. Is Bubbles the bay now grown up ?
Unboubtedly a member of the Gardiner/Bolt now Ayling family.

Whose families are these?
A series of old photographic studio photos of unknown families.
All of these old photos were bought 15 years ago to use primarily as shop window dressing.
We now would like to re-unite them with their descendents. Absoluteley priceless for any family archive.....check your old folks photo albums ; are these families featured there.
It never ceases to amaze me how irreplaceable old family portraits like these become lost, or sold off because no-one in the family wants them.
Look at the facial features. Are they similar to your own family. Facial features echo down the generations. My features are almost identical to my great great grandma Sarah...my sisters to our great grandma Louisa.
