Photo of the marriage between a Harvey daughter possibly Mabel to a Mr Aster. What went wrong???
The image of the groom has been damaged purposely by ?Florence.
The bride and groom certainly don't look very joyful on their wedding day.
What happened that caused the wedding photo to be ripped down the middle?
Who is the groom? Is the bride one of Florences' sisters?
After studying Florence's photo albums it's possible that Mabel Harvey is the bride and the groom is a Mr Aster.
Mary Ann Harvey brides' mother sitting left is about 68? perhaps. She died aged 87 in 1937. So this photo is probably dated around 1918.
If it is Mabel she is aged 39.
It looks as though the grooms brother (name unknown) is best man and the groom's mother Mrs Aster is seated on the right.
Who is the pretty young bridesmaid?

The Harvey children now adults. The mystery history and archive of the Victorian Harveys of Bristol
The photo shows Frederic and Mary Ann Harvey's six children now in early adulthood and elegantly dressed in the style of the times.
It is not known for sure which of the girls are which and it is possible that Marie Louise, the eldest daughter is 6th left next to her young man who is possibly a Mr Jones.
Florence Harvey is the girl 2nd left at the front standing next to Mr Aster.
The young man seated 1st left is Mr Aster who later married another sister Mabel. Mabel is back row behind her brother Frederick Charles. Also at the back the (on the right ) is maud the youngest sister.
I suspect that Florence was once Mr Asters intended....but he preferred and married Mabel. That's why the wedding photo of Mr Aster and Mabel was torn in half in Florences photo album.
This photo is one of several which were left to me by my Great Aunt Winifred Cleaver, who may have been nanny to the Harvey or Champion-Jones family.
I have a collection of Harvey personal documents and photos which will be very precious particularly to Florences' descendants. Seeking Florences' descendants to return the Harvey Family archive for their own family history.
