The FrancoBritish Exhibition 'The FlipFlap' 1908
A postcard adressed to Mrs A Johnson of manor House Farm, Burston, Diss, Norfolk. Postcard sent from Royston on August 17th 1908.
From her daughter who says 'just a quick line or two to let you know I have got into work again dressed three windows on Monday...not decipherable....been a very slow Harvest week down here. I think it was showery till Friday. Hoping you are all well'
he postcard shows a fantasically high double tower with platforms and seats on top which one would imagine sways back and forth. There are about 23 people up there on each platform.
Havn't seen anyhting like this in modern times at funfairs so was it safe? Was this created especiallt for the The Franco-British Exhibition?
