Unknown mid Victorian Gent. Circa 1860's we think
Taken by a Victorian photographer - Robinson's Photographic Studio, 167 Commercial Road, LANDPORT.
He's quite a young man with what I suppose would be called a walrus moustache.
Nothing else known about him. Could he be your ancestor? Look in your old folk's photo albums is he there, does he have facial similarities to your family?
If he is your ancestor we'd be happy to re-unite you with him. Why or how these rare old family photos become separated from their family archive is a mystery to me, especially as I'm looking for a photo of my paternal great grandma Dennis. I know what my paternal great grandfather looks like but there are no photos in our family archive of great grandma.

Whose families are these?
A series of old photographic studio photos of unknown families.
All of these old photos were bought 15 years ago to use primarily as shop window dressing.
We now would like to re-unite them with their descendents. Absoluteley priceless for any family archive.....check your old folks photo albums ; are these families featured there.
It never ceases to amaze me how irreplaceable old family portraits like these become lost, or sold off because no-one in the family wants them.
Look at the facial features. Are they similar to your own family. Facial features echo down the generations. My features are almost identical to my great great grandma Sarah...my sisters to our great grandma Louisa.
