Unknown youg man circa 1900's London who is he?
Very smart studio photo of an unknown Edwardian young man. Very smartly dressed. The photo was taken by U.S.A Studios London.
They had 8 studios in and around London. 212, Edgeware roa, W..25 Westbourne Grove, W...34 Upper Street, (islington) N...266-268 Holloway Road, N...109 & 111 Whitechapel Road, E...18a Rye Lane Peckham...96 North End Croydon..29 Powis Street, Woolwich..and 5 more studios in 'the provinces' Portsmouth, Ipswich, Chatham, Reading and Norwich.
The mount for the photo is long recatungular, the photo a long oval set in an embossed ornate border, a shield with stars and stripes and an eagle on top.
This lad could have been from any of these locations.
He looks to be about fifteen or sixteen and looks refined and a little delicate. Is he an ancestor of yours? Look at your old folks treasured photo albums.

Whose families are these?
A series of old photographic studio photos of unknown families.
All of these old photos were bought 15 years ago to use primarily as shop window dressing.
We now would like to re-unite them with their descendents. Absoluteley priceless for any family archive.....check your old folks photo albums ; are these families featured there.
It never ceases to amaze me how irreplaceable old family portraits like these become lost, or sold off because no-one in the family wants them.
Look at the facial features. Are they similar to your own family. Facial features echo down the generations. My features are almost identical to my great great grandma Sarah...my sisters to our great grandma Louisa.
