Victorian family mother, daughter and baby.
Photo taken probably in the late 1800's. Nothing is known about the charming little family group.
Not taken in a photographic studio, at least the photographer isn't named. Just the photo itself stuck onto a black card.
The little girl wears a tartan taffeta dress with a white lace collar and a little bead necklace. Mother wears a high neck dress with leg o' mutton sleeves. The high neck is fastened with what looks to be a Pearl bar brooch. The image of the baby is so overexposed the tot is almost invisible.

Whose families are these?
A series of old photographic studio photos of unknown families.
All of these old photos were bought 15 years ago to use primarily as shop window dressing.
We now would like to re-unite them with their descendents. Absoluteley priceless for any family archive.....check your old folks photo albums ; are these families featured there.
It never ceases to amaze me how irreplaceable old family portraits like these become lost, or sold off because no-one in the family wants them.
Look at the facial features. Are they similar to your own family. Facial features echo down the generations. My features are almost identical to my great great grandma Sarah...my sisters to our great grandma Louisa.
