Victorian young woman of Manchester. Who is she?
Studio photo of a young Victorian girl living in Manchester in the mid 1800's
The photo was taken by Bradshaws of Great Clowes Street, Lower Broughton, manchester.
She looks to be aged about 15 or 16 years old. She's wearing a silk taffeta dress with sequinnned cuffs and belt, white lace high neck bib. She wears a brooch at the neck but it's too indistinct to make out.
She looks a pale sort of young woman.
Is she your ancestor?

Whose families are these?
A series of old photographic studio photos of unknown families.
All of these old photos were bought 15 years ago to use primarily as shop window dressing.
We now would like to re-unite them with their descendents. Absoluteley priceless for any family archive.....check your old folks photo albums ; are these families featured there.
It never ceases to amaze me how irreplaceable old family portraits like these become lost, or sold off because no-one in the family wants them.
Look at the facial features. Are they similar to your own family. Facial features echo down the generations. My features are almost identical to my great great grandma Sarah...my sisters to our great grandma Louisa.
